Around the Block keeps no accounts and no cookies, yet each visit is counted, so the statistics service learns which street guide was opened, plus your IP address and browser. There are no forms to fill in, no comments and no newsletter.

What the site keeps
The site has no forms, no comments, no newsletter and no accounts. Readers fill in nothing and no cookie is stored, yet every page view is logged by a separate counting service that receives the referring page, network address and browser type. Two settings are kept, and only on the reader's side. A theme choice stays in the browser tab. The chosen walking time stays in the browser.
Venues, TransLink, PlayNow, BCLC, help services and the places named on the maps never pay this site. Readers are offered no rewards of any kind.
Places on the maps come from OpenStreetMap, the map anyone can edit, fetched through the Overpass API on October 8, 2026. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Every place keeps its OpenStreetMap id.
